This FREE short course provides a clear explanation of the inter-relationship between the growth of the hoof capsule and the orthopaedic balance of the horse. It is designed for veterinarians and healthcare practitioners to expand their knowledge of the horse's orthopaedic structure.

This course includes a basic overview of such principles from clinical experience and published clinical trials. However it is the authors' intention to use this course to discuss the concept of orthopaedic balance of the entire horse, recognising the inter-relationship between hoof balance and the kinaesthetic function of the horse.

Based on a paper by Dr Rowan Kilmartin – Dr Joel Champion – Mr Darrall Clifford - published in The Veterinarian - May 2006, clinical review.
